Flyway Enterprise brings schema comparison, drift detection and automated deployments to Lakehouse and Lakebase, so schema changes on Databricks work the way they do everywhere else in your estate.

Most Databricks estates have a gap that’s easy to live with until it isn’t. The pipeline-managed Delta tables might take care of themselves, but the schema objects around them (views, stored procedures, tables, metadata stores) are usually managed by hand: scripts edited directly, versioned by file naming, deployed and quietly forgotten. It works, right up until an environment drifts, a deployment fails halfway, or someone asks what changed and nobody can say.
Flyway Enterprise closes that gap. It treats your Databricks schema the way it treats SQL Server, Oracle or PostgreSQL: as something you version, compare, and deploy safely.
Every schema object is scripted and versioned, so there’s a complete history of what changed, when, and why. No more file-suffix versioning.
Flyway compares dev, UAT and production against the versioned model and flags changes made directly in a workspace before they break a deployment or a report.
Comparison produces the deployment script and the rollback script with the correct dependencies. A failed deployment has a defined way back, not a manual clean-up.
Policy checks run in your pipeline, change reports show exactly what’s shipping, and the audit trail answers questions from the record.
Flyway doesn’t replace anything in a Databricks estate, and it doesn’t ask your teams to change how they work.
Unity Catalog governs access: permissions, lineage, discovery. Flyway governs how schemas change, and the two work side by side. dbt keeps your transformations, Terraform keeps your infrastructure, and pipeline-managed Delta tables stay exactly where they are: Flyway deliberately doesn’t touch them. What it covers is the layer none of those tools version, and it does it through the CLI, Git and the CI/CD pipeline you already have.
Flyway Enterprise puts Databricks changes through the same consistent, version-controlled pipeline as the rest of your estate. Changes are captured as they’re made, checked against your standards, and deployed with a record of exactly what ran.
