SQL Prompt Product Updates – May 2026

Guest post

This is a guest post from Adam Atreides.

SQL Prompt's April releases focused on SSMS 22.5 compatibility, a new AI transparency hub, and dark mode readability improvements.

SSMS 22.5 compatibility

If you've upgraded to SSMS 22.5 and run into issues with SQL Prompt, SQL Prompt v11.3.10 resolves them. This is the update you need right now if you're on the latest SSMS release. If you are a Toolbelt Essentials customer, you will also need to update our other SSMS plugin tools to their later versions too.

AI transparency with the Redgate AI trust hub

SQL Prompt v11.3.11 adds a direct link to the new Redgate AI trust & transparency hub from the SQL Prompt AI options pane. The hub is a live public portal that shows exactly how data is processed per Redgate product, who has access, and what policies govern AI usage. It sits alongside the existing SQL Prompt AI data handling documentation and gives you a single, up-to-date place to understand what happens when you use AI features. If you've had questions from your security team about AI data handling, this is the resource to point them to.

Dark mode readability and stability fixes

SQL Prompt v11.3.12 fixes low-contrast SQL text in SQL History when running in dark mode. If you've been squinting at hard-to-read query history in a dark-themed SSMS, that's resolved. The same release also addresses a freeze that could cause SQL Prompt to hang SSMS and Visual Studio when switching tabs or opening files.
