Discover our top pick Redgate sessions at the PASS Data Community Summit 2022

As proud hosts of the PASS Data Community Summit, it’s our pleasure to update you on some of the exciting content you can expect from Redgate as well as the Summit, both in-person and online.

The Summit itself promises to be the biggest event for data professionals this year. After hosting the Summit online in 2021 (and seeing a record 18,414 total registrations), it’s coming back home to Seattle in 2022 as a hybrid event, giving data professionals the best of both worlds.

Those attending in-person will enjoy face-to-face networking, the opportunity to connect with like-minded experts and share knowledge and best practices, and a variety of community-led events throughout the week.

Join us online and you’ll experience live-streamed sessions along with a state-of-the-art networking platform so that you can have one-to-one, group and spur-of-the-moment chats with fellow professionals. Your online pass will also give you access to on-demand session recordings so you can catch up on any you missed during the week.

What Redgate sessions should you be looking out for?

Speakers from Redgate are naturally among over 200 industry experts presenting more than 300 sessions during the Summit. That’s a lot to choose from and a busy schedule, so we thought we’d share our pick of Redgate sessions to look out for during the week:

Tuesday, November 15
Pre-con session: ‘The Journey from Manual Deployments to Database DevOps’

Before the three-day conference commences, we’re running a full day pre-con workshop on November 15, designed to get you and your team from manual deployments to fully automated database DevOps. Throughout the day, our speakers Steve Jones, Grant Fritchey, Naz Yilmaz, Beca Parker and Anderson Rangel will be showing you how you can deploy changes to production every 30 minutes.

Tuesday, November 15
Welcome reception

It’s our pleasure to welcome all in-person attendees at Tuesday night’s welcome reception, from 6pm to 7.30pm. Kate Duggan, Redgate CMO, along with the Events and Summit team will have the honor of kicking off this year’s Summit in true homecoming style.

Wednesday, November 16
Redgate luncheon: ‘Learning in an ever-changing technology landscape. A data professional perspective’

Join Kathi Kellenberger and her panelists Steve Hall, Andy Yun and Monica Rathburn, over lunch as they share their insights and trips into how to stay up to date and keep your skills relevant.

Thursday, November 17
Keynote: ‘Doing more with less: The challenges ahead for every data professional’

Jakub Lamik, CEO, will be joined by Steve Jones and Kathi Kellenberger to shed light on how the world is changing for data professionals, and the areas to focus on for the best return on your investment in the long term. The Keynote will also be streamed live online and there won’t be any other sessions happening at that time.

Friday, November 18
‘Mechanisms for Implementing Database DevOps’

Simply saying that you’re going to start automating database deployments in support of a DevOps implementation is the easy part. But what can you expect when the rubber meets the road and you have to do the work? Find out in this one-hour session with Grant Fritchey, Redgate Advocate, that includes Q&A and is available live-streamed and in-person.
