Level up your learning at PASS Data Community Summit 2024

Did you know that the general program for PASS Data Community Summit 2024 (November 4-8) was recently unveiled? This year’s lineup includes over 150 different sessions being delivered by over 140 speakers!  

One of the many reasons why attendees love PASS Summit is the volume of high-quality educational content they can take away from the conference and implement in their day-to-day work. Taking a few days off work to connect, share and learn with the data community pays dividends as the learnings from the conference typically helps to save attendees – as well as their respective companies and clients – time and money in the long run.  

With so much content to choose from at PASS Summit, let’s break the program down and explore what’s available: 

Pre-cons and learning pathways

This year’s program includes 16 incredible full-day pre-cons taking place on November 4 and 5. There are also 6 different learning pathways to choose from. Learning pathways are a series of thoughtfully arranged sessions that build upon each other, and are aimed at developing specific competencies. The pathways vary in topic and contribute to closing skill gaps or introducing new technologies. Attendees should experience a learning pathway from start to finish and walk away with an actionable skill or strategy to use in their day-to-day. 

Tracks and topics

Sessions are divided into 5 different tracks and topics: Analytics, Architecture, Database Management, Development and Professional Development. While the majority of sessions continue to explore SQL Server, following positive feedback from last year’s attendee survey as well as insights gained from this year’s Community Insights Survey, the program committee have continued to expand the program to include other databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL and Snowflake. Simply search the program for any keywords of your choice to discover content relevant to you.  

On-demand access 

With so many sessions to choose from it can be tricky to see everything on-site and, if you’re not on your ‘A–game’ when it comes to note-taking, some of those learnings can easily get lost! To help delegates make the most of their experience, all 3-day attendees have on-demand access included as part of their ticket price until January 31, with the option of extending access for an additional fee. This means that all 3-day attendees can re-watch general sessions and recap anything they may have missed, at their leisure, for many months after the conference.
