What’s new in SQL Prompt Version 11.0
We’re excited to announce the release of SQL Prompt Version 11.0. SQL Prompt Version 11.0 adds support for SQL Server Management Studio 21 (SSMS 21) and includes compatibility with Azure Synapse Dedicated SQL Pools—building on our existing support for Azure Synapse Serverless SQL Pools.

What’s new in SQL Prompt Version 11.0
- SSMS 21 support
To ensure customers can use SQL Prompt seamlessly when working with the latest version of SSMS, we’ve released support for SSMS 21.
In SSMS 21, you can find SQL Prompt within the Extensions Menu. To move SQL Prompt to the top-level menu, select Extensions | Customize Menu… Then uncheck the checkbox next to the SQL Prompt item in the list. Learn more.
We have also released SSMS 21 support for other tools within SQL Toolbelt Essentials: SQL Doc, SQL Dependency Tracker, SQL Data Generator, SQL Multi Script, SQL Source Control, SQL Search and SQL Test.
- Azure Synapse Dedicated Pools
Building on our support for Azure Synapse Serverless SQL Pools, you can now use SQL Prompt when working with Azure Synapse Dedicated Pools.
Other recent improvements
- Bulk delete in SQL History
Configure your SQL History retention period and delete query versions based on set days to help speed up performance.
- Results grid aggregates
Within the results grid, you can now easily view aggregate values for selected cells—along with distinct counts.
- Performance improvements
We have improved the speed of SQL History and parameter loading to save you even more time.
How to access SQL Prompt Version 11.0
