Community Circle – Together we learn
Covid-19 has taken a toll on communities across the globe, impacting lives in unprecedented ways. The stresses and strain of course vary depending on your situation, but there’s one thing we know to be true for us all: we’re all in this together.
Here at Redgate we want to do what Redgaters do best – help others to do the best work of their lives. We’ve put our heads together and decided that we want to double down and focus even more effort on supporting the community and looking out for each other.
Learning and sharing is at the heart of Redgate, it’s a core part of our values and principles. So now more than ever, we’re determined to do all we can to help the community through these strange times.
Introducing Community Circle
A team of us at Redgate will be focusing our efforts on providing you with free educational resources to help you develop your skills, connect with one another, and get advice and insights from experts during these uncertain times.
Community Circle is now accessible to all from within Redgate’s Community hub. We’ll be offering a wealth of free resources to help the whole Data Platform community learn, develop and keep in touch with one another. We’re going to start by bringing together many of the resources already available, and making it accessible to all. Rest assured that we’ll be working in an agile way to add new content as soon as it’s available.
A new activity we’ll be kicking off very soon will be range of free weekly Data Platform fundamentals courses presented by each of our Advocates. You’ll be able to pick a topic that is relevant to you, and follow along with weekly online classes/videos presented by one of Redgate’s Microsoft Data Platform MVPs. Whether you want to learn a new skill, or develop your existing skills on a topic you already have expertise in, the idea is that they’ll be a range of free courses for you to choose from.
**These are live and you can catch up with the classes on-demand and then follow along live at www.red-gate.com/university or by watching the Community Circle Playlist on Redgate’s YouTube channel.**
You’ll find opportunities to learn and develop skills, interact with your peers and members of the Redgate team, and get support and advice. We hope you enjoy the Community Circle and that it provides some comfort and joy during this period.
Please keep your eye on Redgate’s Twitter and LinkedIn, and add #RGCommunityCircle to your Twitter stream – we’ll update there as soon as we have something new which we think will help. Stay tuned for updates from Redgate’s Advocate team: Steve Jones, Grant Fritchey, Kendra Little, and Kathi Kellenberger, as well as me and other awesome folk behind the scenes at Redgate.
