Redgate and the Cloud
While there are organizations that will, for valid reasons, never move anything to the cloud, for the rest of us, the cloud is here to stay. In fact, for many of us, our cloud undertakings are growing and growing. The good news is, Redgate is right there with you. Many of our tools already work with the cloud. Also, we work with the cloud. Our own knowledge and understanding there is constantly expanding. With this in mind, I’d like to share a bunch of the training that we’ve put together over the last few months. We’ve produced content around thought-leadership, Azure, AWS, Google, and Redgate tools on all these platforms. Let’s start with the thought leadership.
To the Cloud
We’ve hosted webinars and posted blogs all about how to use the cloud from DevOps, to monitoring, to using the cloud to deal with your newly distributed teams. It’s all worth a look:
- Blog: How to Integrate Database DevOps into Your Cloud Migration Strategy
- Webinar: Monitoring in the Cloud: Managing Migrations and Performance
- Webinar: Help Your Distributed Team Develop Quality Code
Amazon Web Services – AWS
As I learn, I like to put together blog posts and videos. Here you can find several of the videos I’ve done recently as I expand my skill set into AWS RDS. We also have a webinar where we partnered with Octopus Deploy to talk about DevOps in AWS. Please check this stuff out:
- Webinar: The Latest Database DevOps Techniques in AWS(partnered with Octopus Deploy)
- YouTube: AWS RDS, Your First PostgreSQL Instance
- YouTube: Getting started in AWS RDS
- YouTube: Native SQL Server Backups in AWS RDS
In addition, I’ve recorded some short videos to demonstrate how our products work within AWS RDS:
- YouTube: SQL Prompt
- YouTube: SQL Data Generator
- YouTube: SQL Compare
- YouTube: SQL Data Compare
- YouTube: SQL Dependency Tracker
- YouTube: SQL Doc
- YouTube: SQL Data Masker
Azure
In Redgate University we’ve published a new course on how to use SQL Change Automation within Azure SQL Database:
- Redgate University: SQL Change Automation and Azure SQL Database
I’ve also been experimenting with Google SQL Database. Several of our tools work there as well:
- YouTube: SQL Prompt
- YouTube: SQL Data Generator
- YouTube: SQL Compare
- YouTube: SQL Data Compare
- YouTube: SQL Dependency Tracker
- YouTube: SQL Doc
- YouTube: SQL Data Masker
Conclusion
As you can see, we’re ready, willing, and able to help you with your cloud migrations and all the work you’re doing out there already. We’ve got more great stuff coming, both in terms of general knowledge and Redgate specific learning. If there’s anything we’re missing or areas where you want some more help, please don’t hesitate to reach out.
