EA and PA Team Manager

At a glance

Location: Cambridge

In-office expectation: Once per week

Employment type: Permanent

Salary: £55,000 - £65,000

Why this role exists: This role leads a team that touches every part of Redgate — from executive operations to culture, community and AI.

About Redgate

Redgate brings together people who want to do their best work in an environment built on trust, accountability, and collaboration.

We build solutions that help data professionals securely manage the data and databases that their organisations depend on — a space that’s only becoming more critical as systems scale, data regulations increase, and AI adoption accelerates.

Why join our team?

  • You’ll work in a senior role with genuine scope and influence, sitting close to the exec and shaping how the business support team operates day to day.

  • There’s real breadth in this team and you will move from people leadership and AI innovation to culture programmes and budget ownership.

About the role

This is a senior leadership role with genuine ownership across four distinct areas. You’ll lead and develop a team, delivering through others and creating the conditions for them to do their best work. You’ll build strong partnerships with the exec, ensure business support is aligned to organisational priorities, and take accountability for culture and community programmes that bring the whole company together. Alongside this, you’ll lead the team’s adoption of AI — identifying opportunities to improve how they work and acting as an operational partner on exec-led AI taskforce projects.

  • Lead and develop a global Business Support team, coaching and enabling others to own their areas with confidence — driving delivery through the team rather than independently.

  • Build strong exec partnerships to ensure business support is aligned with business priorities across UK and US operations, and collaborate with the People Team on relevant initiatives.

  • Lead the team’s adoption of AI and automation, identifying workflow improvements and acting as a key operational partner in translating AI strategy into practice.

  • Take accountability for company-wide culture and community programmes — including the Davidson Awards, FGF events, and GSB charitable giving — as well as supporting ESG targets.

  • Own business travel policy and operations — this is a significant part of the role, covering day-to-day oversight, process improvements, and ensuring it runs smoothly across the business.

What makes you a great fit

  • Proven experience leading and developing a team, with a track record of driving delivery through others and building an environment where people grow.

  • Experience managing and influencing senior stakeholders, including at Exec or C-suite level, with high levels of discretion and professionalism.

  • A track record of delivering large-scale events or programmes with measurable outcomes, alongside experience owning and managing budgets.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead operational change and process improvement, with a commercial mindset that connects team activity to broader business goals.

  • Confidence using AI tools and automation in a business support or operations context, and the drive to use them to raise the bar on how a team works.

Achieving work-life balance has never been more important and so Redgate has adopted a flexible-hybrid model. This means that people will work flexibly with a blend of remote (home) and co-located (office) work, with teams having the flexibility to decide the cadence that best suits the outcomes they need to deliver.

Where you work and how frequently you attend the office will depend on the nature of your role, make-up of the team and the type of work that you need to do. A weekly visit to the office is likely for most people to support our collaborative culture, as well as other ad-hoc collaborative activities as required by the business. So, if you are able to travel to & from the office safely in a day, that works well for us.

Our hiring process

Application

Tell us about yourself, your skills, and why you’d like to join Redgate. Include your CV or LinkedIn profile, and any portfolios to showcase your work.

We will acknowledge your application straight away and review it carefully. Every application is considered by a member of our Talent team, not AI, because we believe hiring should always be human.

Initial Conversation

If your application looks like a good match, we will arrange an initial interview to learn more about you and answer any questions you have about Redgate and the role. This is a chance for us to get to know you and for you to get a feel for what it’s like to work here.

Skills Alignment Interview

This stage is all about your expertise and giving you a real sense of the role. You’ll meet different people, often including future teammates.

You may complete a technical assessment or focus on competency-based questions to explore how you approach challenges. If there’s anything you’d like us to cover or any part of the process you’re worried about, just let us know.

Values Alignment Interview

Shared values matter as much as skills. This conversation helps us both explore whether Redgate feels like the right fit. You’ll meet people who live our values every day, and we will allow plenty of time for your questions.

If everything feels like a great fit, we will make you an offer and talk through the details so you know exactly what to expect.
