SQL Monitor helps you and your team find issues – before they become problems
Use trends and historic data to identify potential problems and take action before they affect your users. Monitor disk usage to predict capacity requirements, get alerted when unusual activity impacts database performance, and check your servers are running the latest patches, all from within one simple dashboard.
Manual SQL Server monitoring can take hours each day, and this only becomes more time consuming as your estate grows. Cut your daily checks to minutes with a single pane of glass that shows you the status and key metrics for all your servers in one place. Immediately know if something is wrong with customizable alerts tailored to your SQL Server environment.
Regardless of whether your servers are hosted locally, on Virtual Machines, on Microsoft Azure or on Amazon EC2, you can see them all in one place. As your estate grows you can bulk add servers, or automatically discover them through our API. Plus get a whole host of estate-wide management tools including an overview of your installed versions and patches, disk usage statistics, backups, and SQL Agent jobs status.
“We have introduced 150 new servers this year and 70-80 new applications. Without Redgate’s SQL Monitor this would not have been possible.”
“It’s saved us at least two hours a day in just monitoring the systems, probably more if you add how it’s enabled us to change the way we work.”
“SQL Monitor had the functionality I needed and presented the information in the clearest and simplest form.”
“SQL Monitor lets us quickly know what the exact problem is so we can jump on it and fix it before the customer even notices.”

“It’s a tool you just can’t live without. It delivers an incredible amount of useful data in an easy to use format.”
“Knowing what is going on, and being armed with enough information to act is a huge time saver. This product has changed how I monitor my systems.”
“It is easy to use, has the data we need, and more importantly everyone just gets it. It's the freaking iPhone of SQL monitoring - my boss can get it, the junior people can get it, the senior people… everyone just gets it. To me, that has tremendous value.”
“Great to see more estate level monitoring being added to the system, this is the kind of development which really adds value for us.”
Global Overview – See all your servers at a glance
View all your SQL Server instances, availability groups, clusters, and virtual machines on one central web-based interface, regardless of location or restrictions.
If anything needs attention, you can quickly drill down for detailed performance statistics.
Diagnosis - Quickly uncover root causes
When performance problems occur, time is at a premium. SQL Monitor gives you a focused set of performance metrics that quickly help you pinpoint the cause of any issues.
Use intelligent baselines to find the root cause, not just the symptom.
Alerting - Know about issues first
SQL Monitor comes preconfigured with over 55 fully customizable alerts for the most important operational and performance issues. With custom metrics, you can build your own metrics and alerts, or download ones created by our community of experts.
Alerts are displayed in our Grouped Inbox, arranged by common themes and issues, so they are easy to see, prioritize and act on. You can also set up alert notifications to come through email, Slack, PagerDuty or SNMP traps.
Deployments - Unearth bad database deployments
Every time you make a deployment, SQL Monitor picks up this information and displays it on the Instance timeline alongside key SQL Server metrics.
If you suddenly experience unusual behavior after a deployment, you’ll know exactly where to start your investigations.
Query impact - Find and fix slow queries
For every query get performance details, delays caused by resource waits, the T-SQL text, and the query plan.
With this data at your fingertips, it’s quick to find and fix deadlocks and long-running or expensive queries. With the query history you can identify patterns and trends to help you improve performance.
Hybrid Monitoring - Monitor any SQL Server platform in one place
With complete support for Virtual Machines, Azure SQL Databases and Amazon EC2, you can monitor on-premises, virtual machines, elastic pools, and Managed Instances all within the same dashboard.
You can view all these servers at once for an instant overview, and then drill down for additional metrics tailored to the type of database you're looking at.
Reporting - Share reports about your servers and company health
Create customized reports with combined performance metrics available in SQL Monitor’s analysis view with summary estate information such as server uptime, volume of alerts raised, or disks which fill up fastest.
Reports can be exported to PDF and emailed to you and your colleagues on a scheduled basis.
All prices are per server and include one year’s support and upgrades. For clusters, each node requires a license. Virtual machines also require a license. You don't need to buy extra licenses for multiple SQL Server instances on a server. For Azure SQL Databases, each license can support up to five databases.
