Redgate Coding Club for Kids - privacy notice

If you’ve signed up to be involved in Redgate’s Code Club, this page tells you how we’ll use your personal data.

Your contact details

If you sign up to take part in our sessions with your child, we’ll use your contact details to invite you along to the sessions.

We’ll email you the details of how to join each session, and we may ask for feedback on how you think the sessions went.

We do this with your consent: if you want us to stop inviting you to future sessions, just reply to the emails and let us know.

We’ll keep your details for the duration of this project, or until you ask us to delete them.

Joining the sessions

When you join one of our interactive sessions, you can choose the name you’d like to use. The Redgaters leading the session will be able to see this name.

If you ask a question using the Q&A facility, other attendees will be able to see your name and question unless you choose to ask anonymously.

We’ll be recording the sessions and publishing them on our YouTube channel. Answers to questions may be included in these recordings, along with the name you choose to use.

We do this to allow us to run interactive sessions and make them available to as many people as possible.

Text chat is only kept for the duration of the session.

Other companies we work with

We’re running these sessions using Zoom. You can find out more in their privacy policy.

We use Microsoft Office 365’s Forms to let you sign up, to invite you to sessions and ask you for feedback.

We’re grateful to the Raspberry Pi Foundation for their help making this work. We’re letting them know how the project is going but we won’t share any of your personal data with them.

If you visit Redgate’s websites, we use cookies as described in our main privacy policy.

Your rights

If you want us to stop contacting you at any time, let us know by replying to any of our emails, or emailing privacy@red-gate.com. We’re happy to remove you from our systems.

If you would like to know what details we hold, let us know.

If you’re unhappy about how we’ve used your personal details, let us know. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office.
