Redgate Test Data Manager Product Updates – August 2025
Redgate Test Data Manager’s latest release brings significant performance improvements and new masking capabilities. These updates reduce friction in your workflows, whilst maintaining security and data quality standards.
Job execution within the UI – making your work easier
Execute subset and anonymization jobs directly from the Redgate Test Data Manager UI. Configure workflows once and run them without downloading or extracting files. Job results appear in real-time within the UI.
Here’s a short video walkthrough of this new feature.
5x faster subsetting – speeding up processes
Subsetting operations are now over 5x faster. It now takes significantly less time to subset large databases, and it’s even faster for smaller ones too.
Masking more data formats – simplifying anonymization for inconsistent data
Large databases that have grown organically often have inconsistent or illogical data formatting. This makes it difficult to mask without changing your schema.
Easily anonymize inconsistent or illogical formats of data with pre and post-masking transformation. This transforms your data into a more standard format to mask, masks it, then transforms the new anonymized data back to the original format.
Find out more about this in the pre-masking and post-masking transforms documentation.
Expression datasets – keeping masked data realistic
Generate emails, usernames, and other fields based on the masked names in the same row.
For example, a user masked to Anne Example gets anne.example@redgate.com instead of a randomized email. Your anonymized test data looks and behaves even more like the real thing. Relationships make sense, references connect properly, and fields connect across tables.
Find out more about this in the expression-based datasets documentation.
