The Role
We’re growing our product management team and are seeking a Product Manager to help us achieve our long-term vision and growth.
As a Product Manager, you’ll own outcomes for a product area, working as part of a product trio alongside a Tech Lead and Designer. You’ll translate product strategy into shipped work that moves key metrics – win rates, time-to-value, retention – not just features. You’ll spend your time understanding customer problems, shaping what to build next, and making sure what ships lands with our customers.
Our products serve database professionals across every industry, from financial services and healthcare to retail and SaaS. You'll need to get curious about this domain and be able to talk credibly about the problems our customers face, even if you're learning as you go.
Achieving work-life balance has never been more important and so Redgate has adopted a flexible-hybrid model. Most product managers are in the office one or two days a week, with teams deciding the cadence that works best for them. For this role, we're looking for candidates within commuting distance of our Cambridge, UK office.
Your Work at Redgate Software
Execute on product strategy for your area, breaking it down into focused bets that drive measurable commercial outcomes.
Partner with your Tech Lead and Designer as a product trio to deliver a high-quality, sustainable product roadmap.
Take ownership of customer outcomes and key metrics. Evaluate the impact of product changes on customers (e.g. value, time-to-value, active usage, NPS) and respond with agility.
Work directly with agile engineering teams, leading discovery and shaping delivery – not just writing tickets.
Partner with Product Marketing on positioning, pricing, packaging and go-to-market plans.
Drive customer engagement through research, calls, and direct interaction to ensure the product solves real problems.
Collaborate with other Product Managers to ensure products provide complementary value across the portfolio.
Work as part of the product management team to support portfolio-level decisions and flow of information across the company.
Stay up to date with relevant market requirements, our competitors, and the evolving role of our target customers.
What You Bring to the Table
2–3+ years of product management experience, ideally in B2B SaaS, with evidence of shipping work that moved strategic metrics – not just delivering features on time.
Experience executing on product strategy: you’ve taken a strategic direction and turned it into concrete product bets, experiments, and shipped outcomes.
Hands-on experience working directly with engineering and design teams in a lean-agile environment, shaping what to build as well as how to deliver it.
Customer and commercially minded. You start with the customer problem and connect it to business outcomes.
Analytical mindset with the ability to use data to drive decision-making and measure the impact of what you ship.
Excellent communication skills – able to explain complex needs clearly to engineers, stakeholders, and customers.
Enthusiastic and confident when talking to customers, able to ask the right questions and translate what you hear into product direction.
A high degree of customer empathy and genuine curiosity about how technical teams work.
Who You Are
A self-starter who takes ownership and exercises sound judgement – you don’t wait to be told what to do.
Interested in Redgate’s domain – databases, developer tools, compliance, DevOps. Deep domain expertise isn’t required, but genuine curiosity is.
You think in outcomes, not outputs. You care about whether what you shipped worked, not just that it shipped.
Aligned with Redgate’s Core Values.

Achieving work-life balance has never been more important and so Redgate has adopted a flexible-hybrid model. This means that people will work flexibly with a blend of remote (home) and co-located (office) work, with teams having the flexibility to decide the cadence that best suits the outcomes they need to deliver.
Where you work and how frequently you attend the office will depend on the nature of your role, make-up of the team and the type of work that you need to do. A weekly visit to the office is likely for most people to support our collaborative culture, as well as other ad-hoc collaborative activities as required by the business. So, if you are able to travel to & from the office safely in a day, that works well for us.

Tell us about yourself, your skills, and why you’d like to join Redgate. Include your CV or LinkedIn profile, and any portfolios to showcase your work.
We will acknowledge your application straight away and review it carefully. Every application is considered by a member of our Talent team, not AI, because we believe hiring should always be human.

If your application looks like a good match, we will arrange an initial interview to learn more about you and answer any questions you have about Redgate and the role. This is a chance for us to get to know you and for you to get a feel for what it’s like to work here.

This stage is all about your expertise and giving you a real sense of the role. You’ll meet different people, often including future teammates.
You may complete a technical assessment or focus on competency-based questions to explore how you approach challenges. If there’s anything you’d like us to cover or any part of the process you’re worried about, just let us know.

Shared values matter as much as skills. This conversation helps us both explore whether Redgate feels like the right fit. You’ll meet people who live our values every day, and we will allow plenty of time for your questions.
If everything feels like a great fit, we will make you an offer and talk through the details so you know exactly what to expect.
