Finance Manager – Operations

The Finance Team is here to create value for Redgate by providing insightful financial advice and analysis, with integrity and objectivity, to support Redgate’s key decision making processes and organisational goals. In addition, we maintain our own high standards by running lean, compliant and operationally excellent practices.

Redgate is looking for a Finance Manager who, through the management of the Finance Operational team, will take responsibility for all financial record-keeping, core finance processing and group tax and compliance activities. You’ll also be continually maintaining and improving the way the team works to ensure those practices are operationally excellent. In doing this you’ll directly support Redgate’s decision making processes through the provision of accurate and relevant financial data, whilst helping position the Finance team to best meet the evolving and growing needs of the business.

You’ll manage a team of 4 finance professionals, so you’ll need to have significant experience of team and line management, where you’ve successfully developed both the team and the individuals within it.

As part of a successful, global, software company, and managing across a number of important financial duties, the role will be challenging and diverse – to keep you at the top of your game we’ll invest in you and your career, providing all the training and support you’ll needed for you to great work.

What’s the package?

A great benefit package.

  • Salary range is £45k-£55k, depending on experience.
  • 40 hours a week, with flexible work time.

Step 1. Application

We’ll acknowledge your application straight away, review it and keep you updated on your progress. We might also email an assessment to complete, or invite you for a brief telephone interview. If we don’t think you’re suitable, we’ll inform you – and tell you why. We won’t let you down, we’ll try and help you.

Step 3

Step 3. 1st Interview

Step three is an interview in our Cambridge office. We’ll talk about your work history, your covering letter or video, and any assessments you’ve completed. You might also be asked to do some work-based tests and, if you’re applying for a technical role, expect technical questions – we love talking tech.

Step 4

Step 4. 2nd Interview

The second interview typically lasts two hours. You’ll be talking to different people, you may well meet people you’ll be working with, and we’ll allow time for you to ask questions. We don’t have a dress code at Redgate, by the way, so dress in whatever makes you comfortable.

If we think you’d be great at Redgate, we’ll make an offer and iron out any details like relocation issues. If we don’t think you’ll fit in right away, we’ll tell you why. Some people have taken our advice, boned up their knowledge and come back a year later and got a job. It helps.
