On December 13 2017, we hosted SQL in the City Streamed, which was broadcast live from Redgate HQ in Cambridge UK.
The sessions were recorded and are available to watch on the Redgate YouTube channel.
The event focused on enabling you to be more productive. Technical sessions went into the latest Microsoft SQL Server releases, and covered topical issues such as DevOps, data compliance, protection & privacy.

Steve Jones is a Microsoft SQL Server MVP and has been working with SQL Server since version 4.2 on OS/2. After working as a DBA and developer for a variety of companies, Steve co-founded the community website SQLServerCentral.com in 2001.
Since 2004, Steve has been the full-time editor of the site, ensuring it continues to be a great resource for SQL Server professionals. Over the last decade, Steve has written hundreds of articles about SQL Server for SQLServerCentral.com, SQL Server Standard magazine, SQL Server Magazine, and Database Journal.

Grant Fritchey is a SQL Server MVP with over 20 years experience in IT including time spent in support and development.
Grant has worked with SQL Server since version 6.0 back in 1995. He has developed in VB, VB.Net, C# and Java. Grant volunteers at PASS with the Editorial Committee and is president of the Southern New England SQL Server Users Group (SNESSUG). He has authored books for Apress and Simple-Talk, and joined Redgate as a Product Evangelist in January 2011.
CEO at Redgate
Simon is the joint founder and CEO of Redgate Software. Over the past 19 years, Simon has been part of Redgate’s growth from a 2 person firm operating out of a spare room to today’s 230 person outfit with hundreds of thousands of users. Although Simon’s responsibilities are primarily strategic, his background is technical with qualifications including a PhD in physics from Cambridge University and former employment with Shell and ThornEMI.

Kathi Kellenberger is the Editor of Simple Talk and a Microsoft Data Platform MVP. She has worked with SQL Server for almost 20 years and has authored, co-authored, or tech edited over a dozen technical books.
Kathi is the co-leader of the PASS Women in Technology Virtual Group and a volunteer at LaunchCode. When Kathi isn’t working she enjoys spending time with family and friends, cycling, singing, and climbing the stairs of tall buildings.
Pre-Sales Engineer at Redgate
Tom is an experienced Pre-Sales Engineer who has worked with Redgate SQL Server tools since 2008. During that time he has worked with hundreds of clients across the globe, from start-ups to FTSE/Fortune 100 companies and everything in between. He specialises in helping clients to improve their approach to Database Lifecycle Management (DLM) and has recently been writing and delivering DLM training courses in Europe and Asia.

Richard is a Product Manager at Redgate, having previously spent almost 20 years in IT management, database administration and development for Insurance and Financial Services firms in London, back-filling other roles along the way. He spends much of his time boring anyone in earshot about the DevOps and automation implications of financial compliance and audit.
Visual Studio & Development Technologies MVP and Technical Lead at Redgate
Tugberk Ugurlu is a web guy, Microsoft MVP and software developer specialized mainly on .NET Web technologies. Before joining Redgate in 2015 as a Software Engineer he built tourism software services and products. Tugberk is now the Technical Lead for the SQL Compare team at Redgate. Outside of work he shares his knowledge with the community through his blog, webcasts, authoring books, and talking at tech conferences

David started coding when he was 10. After a brief stint pretending to be an academic he joined the Redgate in 2009 as a software developer and has worked on many different products over the years. Currently he’s leading the SQL Source Control and ReadyRoll development teams, and is one of the six Build Masters at Redgate. David has presented multiple sessions at various conferences, including SQL Bits, NDC Oslo, NDC London, Southern Fried Agile, DDD East Anglia, SQL in the City events since 2011, and more.

Annabel is the Events and Communities Marketing Manager at Redgate, and has 10 years’ experience in community and events marketing. For the past 7 years she’s specialised in creating, organising, marketing, and managing events and community marketing for Redgate software.
