Is it possible to disable the Automatic refresh of the version control status of a VC linked database?

I have 7 databases linked currently (increasing...), and it gets annoying seeing the blue spinning dots all the time.

Thanks in advance, René

Hi René,

If you want to disable polling, you can do it by modifying a config file:

http://documentation.red-gate.com/display/SOC3/Changing+or+disabling+the+database+polling+interval

Instead of putting spinning blue indicators on databases, SQL Source Control will then put a grey blob at startup to indicate that there might be changes. When you select a database in the Object Explorer, it'll still check for changes and apply blue blobs as appropriate, but that won't happen in the background.

Is that more like how you'd like SQL Source Control to behave?
