Error when installing SQL Monitor 3

I am moving the Web Server and Base Monitor to a new server. I have backed up and restored the Data Repository DB to the new server. When I get to the screen of the SQL Monitor Installer where I need to pick the server name and database name and then enter the user name and password in order to connect to the database, I get an error saying "The type initializer for 'Settings' threw an exception"

What does this mean and how do I fix it?

Hi, thanks for your post. We could probably do with seeing the logfile. Can you do this:

Invoke the error again then before cancelling the installation, please can you right-click on the title bar of the installer, where it says "SQL Monitor Installer", and select "Locate Temporary Files". Please send me the file in this temp folder called "Install-Response.txt".

Send that over to us (support@red-gate.com) quoting F0070117 in the subject line, and we'll see if there are any clues...
