Is the data in the Red-Gate SQL Backup actually encrypted for a backup of a database that has TDE applied? _________________ David |

Yes, it is. SQL Backup does not check if TDE is in use when it is requested to perform a backup.
Are you looking for an option to skip encryption when TDE is in use, when performing a multi-database backup? _________________ Peter Yeoh

Thanks, Petey. I was just wanting to verify that the data in the backup file was still encrypted and not decrypted prior to being dumped to disk.
I wasn't looking for a way to skip encryption when TDE is in use, but that seems like that would be pretty easy to script around.
Thanks again! _________________ David |
