About Redgate

Redgate brings together people who want to do their best work in an environment built on trust, accountability, and collaboration.

We build solutions that help data professionals securely manage the data and databases that their organisations depend on, a space that's only becoming more critical as systems scale, data regulations increase, and AI adoption accelerates.

AI at Redgate

By 2028, Redgate will operate as an expert-plus-agent company: domain experts amplified by AI, delivering customer value at a pace our peers can't match.

AI handles the heavy lifting. Our people control the judgement. Everyone at Redgate works with Claude, giving you access to the best AI tools from day one.

Why join our sales team?

• You'll work in a team that cares about craft, collaboration, and quality.

• There's real scope to grow your skills and impact, with clear pathways and support, including a route from this role into Account Executive.

• We value sustainable ways of working: good tools, clear processes, and time to improve how we do things.

About the role

As a Business Development Representative, you'll generate high-quality sales opportunities within target accounts for our Northern Europe Account Executive team, working from our Amsterdam office. You'll identify and engage potential customers, build relationships, and drive the early stages of our sales pipeline. This is an 'academy' style role, so it's a great starting point if you want to build a career in sales and progress into an Account Executive (or other) role.

• Take ownership of prospecting across your allocated accounts, including full control of our 'Pool, Tier C' accounts, both in and out of the cadences provided.

• Hold high-level conversations with technical and business decision-makers to uncover business pains, objectives and impact, then agree clear next steps.

• Plan your approach to target accounts with Account Executives every week, mapping organisational structure, people and existing technology.

• Work closely with our Field Marketing and Marketing teams on customer needs, messaging and ABM leads, using tools like Salesloft, Salesforce, 6sense and Marketo.

• Meet daily activity goals and monthly targets for opportunities generated, with some travel to conferences and events when needed.

What makes you a great fit

• Fluent in both Dutch and English, with excellent written and spoken communication skills.

• Confident building relationships and holding business conversations with a range of technical and business contacts.

• A genuine interest in technology, and the ability to quickly learn technical information and a diverse range of products and customer needs.

• Highly organised, with strong attention to detail, and the persistence and self-motivation to hit activity and opportunity goals.

• A proactive, flexible team player with a solution-focused, common-sense approach, who is happy to help build new processes as you go.

What we offer

• Hybrid working: home and Amsterdam office

• Performance-related rewards for exceeding your goals

• Monthly wellbeing allowance and generous paid time off

• Genuine investment in learning, development, and career progression

• Private health insurance

Our hiring process

Application

Tell us about yourself, your skills, and why you’d like to join Redgate. Include your CV or LinkedIn profile, and any portfolios to showcase your work.

We will acknowledge your application straight away and review it carefully. Every application is considered by a member of our Talent team, not AI, because we believe hiring should always be human.

Initial Conversation

If your application looks like a good match, we will arrange an initial interview to learn more about you and answer any questions you have about Redgate and the role. This is a chance for us to get to know you and for you to get a feel for what it’s like to work here.

Skills Alignment Interview

This stage is all about your expertise and giving you a real sense of the role. You’ll meet different people, often including future teammates.

You may complete a technical assessment or focus on competency-based questions to explore how you approach challenges. If there’s anything you’d like us to cover or any part of the process you’re worried about, just let us know.

Values Alignment Interview

Shared values matter as much as skills. This conversation helps us both explore whether Redgate feels like the right fit. You’ll meet people who live our values every day, and we will allow plenty of time for your questions.

If everything feels like a great fit, we will make you an offer and talk through the details so you know exactly what to expect.
