Red Gate introduces object level recovery for those using native SQL Server backups

CAMBRIDGE, U.K., September 17, 2009 - Red Gate Software has released a new tool called SQL Object Level Recovery Native that enables individual database objects to be recovered from native SQL Server 2008, 2005 and 2000 backup files.

SQL Object Level Recovery Native is faster and uses less disk space than restoring full database backups with SQL Server. The new tool is licensed on a per-user rather than a per-server basis, providing flexibility to restore database objects from native SQL Server backup files to any database, on any server, across the enterprise.

Full array of faster backups

"SQL Object Level Recovery Native is a simple tool that strengthens backup options throughout the enterprise," says Colin Millerchip, Red Gate's product manager for backup products.  "Red Gate now offers a full array of time-saving backup products, from this one that augments native SQL Server backup, to our latest SQL Backup Pro version."

SQL Object Level Recovery Native is available as a standalone product or as part of a discounted bundle that provides a complete set of tools to speed up daily tasks and keep enterprise data safe.  The SQL Backup Bundle includes the following tools:
