Learning SQL Scripts Manager - 1.1

Getting started

SQL Scripts Manager is a free tool that brings together must-have scripts from expert DBAs, SQL Server MVPs, and Red Gate developers to enable you to automate common troubleshooting, diagnostic, and maintenance tasks. SQL Scripts Manager gives you quick, easy access to SQL, IronPython, and SMO scripting.

Each script includes a simple form-based graphical user interface, and help information, described by an XML file. You can easily add you own favorite scripts to SQL Scripts Manager by creating new XML files, and then share your scripts with other SQL Scripts Manager users.

SQL Scripts Manager is compatible with:

  • SQL Server 2000, 2005, 2008, 2008 R2
  • Windows 2000, Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7, Windows Server 2003, Windows Server 2008

You can use SQL Scripts Manager to:

  • Access more than 25 troubleshooting, diagnostic, and maintenance scripts, written by 9 recognized SQL Server experts
  • Get additional scripts from the community: share scripts with your colleagues, or with the wider SQL Server community, via the SQL Server Central script wiki
  • Work with your own scripts: create easy-to-use graphical user interfaces, and organize your scripts with tags
