New Red Gate small business tool makes SQL backup fast, simple and economical

CAMBRIDGE, U.K., October 4, 2006 -- Red Gate Software is releasing a low-cost version of its best-selling SQL Backup^™ tool that makes data protection for small businesses fast and simple.

The new edition, called SQL Backup Lite, will be available on the Red Gate website beginning October 9 at an introductory price of $95 per server. A fully functional version is available as a 14-day free trial download.

SQL Backup Lite provides an alternative to the slow, cumbersome native features associated with SQL Server backups, allowing system administrators to perform smaller, faster backups of their data. Based on testing and customer experience, SQL Backup Lite is up to 10 times faster than native SQL Server backup.
