How to set up your evaluation of SQL Source Control in less than 5 minutes
SQL Source Control is an add-in for SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS).
Step 1
Open SSMS. You should see the SQL Source Control panel as seen below:

If the SQL Source Control panel is not open, click the
button in the Object Explorer.

Select the database to put under source control and click Link database to source control....
Choose a database to link to source control
Step 3 - Without an existing source control repository
Select Just Evaluating and create a new repository by clicking Create new... and choosing a name for your new repository.

Step 3 - With an existing source control repository - for team evaluation
Select the source control system you currently use and enter the database repository URL. Other team members can also download a trial of SQL Source Control and link to this repository.

Link your database to source control.

Commit the database to source control. Now you are ready to evaluate SQL Source Control.
