New ANTS Profiler™ integrates with Visual Studio, placing better performance a mouse click away

CAMBRIDGE, U.K., March 15, 2007 – Red Gate Software has released a new version of ANTS Profiler that is fully integrated with Visual Studio, making it easier and faster than ever before to optimize performance for applications written in any of the languages available on the .NET framework.

With ANTS Profiler 3, developers do not need to leave Visual Studio 2003 or 2005 to pinpoint performance bottlenecks within their applications. A click of a button launches ANTS Profiler within seconds, with the executable path already set. Context sensitivity lets users set up what method, class or namespace they want to profile, without having to remember its name.

Freedom of choice

ANTS Profiler 3 provides both fast and detailed modes of profiling. The fast mode runs more than 10 times faster than the detailed mode, providing a quick overview of how long it takes for each method to execute. The detailed, or line-level, mode shows how long each line of code takes to execute. This enables developers to identify the exact lines of code that are causing performance bottlenecks.

A new API within ANTS Profiler 3 also provides greater flexibility, allowing users to disable the profiler within their code, take snapshots, and reset the profiler exactly where they want within their application.
