Beta program and more usability studies - would you like to join in the fun?
The Exchange Server Archiver beta program is expected to begin in November where you will get early access to the software to use in your own environment.
We also continually run usability studies - no software to install and only an hour of your time - all you need is an internet connection and a phone line to participate. We'll call you and there is a $100 Amazon voucher for your time.
Email if you would like to participate in either the beta program and/or usability studies (hopefully both!).
Exchange Server Archiver reduces the size of the Exchange information store by archiving emails and attachments to a dedicated server. A smaller information store is easier and quicker to back-up meaning less maintenance downtime.
The end-user experience is seamless with instant email retrieval and an integrated search of both archived and non-archived emails. Outlook Web Access is supported.
Exchange Server Archiver is a cost-effective alternative to adding additional Exchange servers, archive storage is cheaper than primary storage, and no additional expensive database servers are required. It does not use the Exchange Journaling mailbox.
Start – and end – the archiving process when you want to. Limit the duration of the archiving process so you can fit it easily into your existing maintenance schedule.
Less time spent trying to enforce and manage email quotas means more time for strategic IT projects. No longer will you have to walk the tightrope between optimizing the messaging environment and allowing end-users to save email.
With the need for PST files removed, you'll no longer suffer 'PST hell' when trying to retrieve business critical emails from locally-stored files.
Nothing is installed on your Exchange Server, letting you keep mission-critical systems running without interference.
Exchange Server Archiver is fully scalable and works out-of-the-box - it is easy to install, configure, and maintain.
Seamless mailbox archiving
Exchange Server Archiver delivers an unchanged email experience and an integrated search to your end-users. Below are 'before' and 'after' archiving images. Would your end-users see the minor differences?
When should I use Exchange Server Archiver?
If you are reaching 100+ mailboxes you might well be suffering performance issues with your Exchange Servers, caused by the size of their information stores, then you need Exchange Server Archiver. Similarly, if you have too much downtime for maintenance windows, a smaller Exchange Server information store will help reduce downtime.
Exchange Server Archiver is particularly useful when you are experiencing difficulties enforcing email quotas. You may have many rather large mailboxes, for example belonging to 'C' level executives or field-based staff who frequently send, receive, and keep large attachments.
