The role:

As a Sales Development Rep you’ll be responsible for engaging warm leads and existing contacts, with the aim of qualifying and booking meetings for our growing accounts team.

With market-leading software solutions, the strongest brand in our space, and well respected thought leadership in your back pocket, you’ll research and tailor personalized approaches to some of our biggest customers. You’ll become intimately knowledgeable about their key business challenges, and tailor insights that challenge their status quo in line with increasing database development pressures.

You’ll be directly responsible for research, prospecting, and initial discovery calls in line with the team of Accounts Reps you’ll support. You’ll quickly become a key member of the team responsible for qualification standards and booking meetings for the Accounts reps, as you rapidly develop your sales and prospecting skills to drive new business growth.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Define and execute strong prospecting campaigns for existing and new accounts
  • Generate well qualified new leads for the accounts team
  • Research prospects and identify key contacts
  • Become a trusted advisor to our customers while challenging their existing thinking
  • Keep abreast of competition, competitive issues and products
  • Use our CRM to manage customer interactions, the sales process, and reporting
  • Participate in team-building and company-growth activities including strategy setting, sales training, marketing efforts and customer care

  • Bachelor’s degree and/or a proven track record in sales
  • The ability to learn and understand technical information for a broad product portfolio and diverse customer needs

You might also be asked to do some work-based tests and, if you’re applying for a technical role, expect technical questions – we love talking tech.

Step 4

Step 4. 2nd Interview

The second interview typically lasts two hours. You’ll be talking to different people, you may well meet people you’ll be working with, and we’ll allow time for you to ask questions. We don’t have a dress code at Redgate, by the way, so dress in whatever makes you comfortable.

If we think you’d be great at Redgate, we’ll make an offer and iron out any details like relocation issues. If we don’t think you’ll fit in right away, we’ll tell you why. Some people have taken our advice, boned up their knowledge and come back a year later and got a job. It helps.
