Marketing Operations Manager

Redgate’s looking for a Marketing Operations Manager to take charge of our Marketo setup, help our marketing teams implement best practice, and set us up to track, measure, and improve our marketing programs.  

Reporting to our Head of Brand, you’ll be our platform expert for Marketo. You’ll be responsible for managing the platform, handling our data processes, and improving lead scoring, lead management, and more. You’ll also support other marketing teams in their day-to-day use of Marketo. You’ll provide training and build, document, and enforce the use of best practice programs and processes.

We’ll need your help standardizing measurement and reporting in other platforms too. You’ll work with our SalesOps team to check marketing leads are followed up correctly in Salesforce. You’ll have expertise in Google Analytics, so you can help teams across marketing report on results further up the funnel, and improve on the results they’re already seeing.

As we develop our marketing stack, you’ll play a major role in implementation. You’ll lead on the project or take responsibility for integrating new software with our existing platforms. You’ll advise us on tools we should look at, best practice for working with them, and help lead us towards world-class marketing operations.

What makes you Redgate’s next Marketing Operations Manager? 

  • You’re an experienced marketing operations professional, who’s comfortable getting involved in the day-to-day work of marketing performance management and marketing metrics.
  • You’re a Marketo Certified Expert, or a Marketo Certified Associate with experience as the marketing automation expert in your organization.
  • You have a deep knowledge of Marketo and marketing automation best practice, covering everything from channel setup and user roles, to lead lifecycle, building engagement programs, and working with LaunchPoint integrations.
  • You’re happy training others on the right way to work with Marketo and making sure that they stick to the standards you’ve established.
  • You’re fluent with metrics and analysis, including the use of tools such as PowerBI or Tableau.
  • You’re confident with Google Analytics, including goals, UTM tracking, and auto-tagging for PPC.
  • You’re familiar with Salesforce best practice and have hands-on experience with the platform, particularly as it relates to campaigns, tracking marketing success, and integration with marketing systems.
  • You have hands-on experience adding systems into an existing marketing automation stack, working alongside sales, marketing, and developers as needed, and you’re familiar with the wider marketing technology landscape.
  • You’re comfortable discussing and advising on marketing performance with stakeholders at every level, whether that’s our CMO, campaign managers, or channel experts like those responsible for SEO or PPC.

 What would help? 

  • Any Salesforce qualifications would be extremely helpful.
  • Experience with JavaScript and the Marketo API would be an advantage, but it’s not essential.
  • Familiarity with the Marketo ABM module, Marketo Sales Insights, and Marketo Performance Insights.
  • Any direct experience working with marketing or sales automation platforms, especially platforms designed to help accounts-based marketing.

 What’s the package? 

  •  A great benefits package.
  • You’ll work about 40 hours per week, with flexible work time.
  • Salary is £50,000 to £55,000, depending on experience.
