Getting started
SmartAssembly enables you to perform a range of improvement and protection operations on your software, and set up error reporting.
SmartAssembly can be used with Windows Forms applications, console applications, and DLL libraries, created with any version of the .NET Framework (1.1 to 4.0). Please note that SmartAssembly will only work on 100% managed code.
You can use SmartAssembly to:
- Merge and embed dependencies
- Prune code
- Obfuscate code
- Create proxies for calls made outside of your assembly
- Encode strings
- Report errors
- Report feature usage
- Compress and encrypt resources
- Optimize your software
- Generate debugging information
- Decode stack traces
How does SmartAssembly work?
- When your application is compiled and ready to ship, create a new project in SmartAssembly.
- Set the options that you require.
- Based on its analysis and the options you have chosen, SmartAssembly builds a new application that includes the selected features.
