Getting started - Schema Compare for Oracle
Schema Compare for Oracle enables you to compare and deploy Oracle database schemas.
This is useful, for example, in a development environment when you need to transfer changes made to a local database to a live database on a remote server. Traditionally, this meant spending hours scrutinizing the database structure and hand-generating migration scripts. Schema Compare for Oracle automates this process for you.
You can use Schema Compare for Oracle to compare and deploy Oracle Database 9i, 10g and 11g databases.
Requirements
The following are required to use Schema Compare for Oracle:
- Windows XP, Windows Server 2003, Windows Server 2008, Windows Vista®, or Windows 7.
- Microsoft .NET Framework version 4.0 or later.
You can download the 32-bit framework, or the x64 framework.
