SQL Virtual Restore - 2.4
Working with local folders - SQL Virtual Restore
When you install SQL Virtual Restore, several folders are created beneath the main "HyperBac" folder (located at "C:\Program Files\Red Gate\HyperBac" by default):
Default folder location |
Description |
C:\Program Files\Red Gate\HyperBac\indexes |
Index path: SQL Virtual Restore uses this folder to hold index files for virtually restored databases. |
C:\Program Files\Red Gate\HyperBac\keys |
Encryption key path: this folder holds the default key file that SQL Virtual Restore uses to encrypt and decrypt data for SQL HyperBac backup files on this SQL Server. For more information, see Working with encrypted backup files. |
C:\Program Files\Red Gate\HyperBac\logs |
Log path: the HyperBac Control Service writes log data to files in this folder. This log data includes information about service startup and shutdown, and operations performed by the service. |
You can change the default location for any folder from the Advanced tab of HyperBac Configuration Manager:
