Providing log files with HyperBac Support Info - SQL Storage Compress
Log files collect information about SQL Storage Compress while you are using it. If you have encountered a problem, Red Gate support may ask you to provide these files using the HyperBac Support Info application, which they will send to you.
HyperBac Support Info saves the following information to a .zip file for you to send to Red Gate support:
- Log and configuration files generated by the HyperBac Compression Engine
- Operating system version
- Information about your processor and disk drive hardware
To collect the information in a .zip file:
- Extract the HyperBacSupportInfo.zip file and open Windows Explorer at the extracted location.
- Double-click HyperBacSupportInfo.exe to run the program. A Console Window will open and print a confirmation message.
- Note the location of the SupportLogsAndSystemData.zip file that has been created, then press a key to close the window.
- If you wish, edit the contents of SupportLogsAndSystemData.zip in a text editor and remove information which you consider to be sensitive.
- Email SupportLogsAndSystemData.zip to support@red-gate.com with your support call reference number.
