Synchronizing to SQL Azure databases - SQL Data Compare
SQL Data Compare enables you to compare and synchronize SQL Azure databases.
Data types not supported
SQL Azure databases do not support the following data types:
- Common Language Runtime (CLR) User-Defined Types
- Large User-Defined Types (UDTs)
If you try to synchronize an unsupported data type to a SQL Azure database, the synchronization script will fail.
T-SQL and SQL Server feature support
SQL Azure has further limitations that can cause SQL Data Compare synchronizations to fail. For example, SQL Azure does not support Data Compression or SQL Server Replication.
