Getting started - Data Compare for Oracle

Data Compare for Oracle enables you to compare and deploy Oracle table data.

This is useful, for example, in a development environment when you need to deploy lookup data from a local database to a live database on a remote server. Traditionally, this meant spending hours hand-generating migration scripts. Data Compare for Oracle automates this process for you.

You can use Data Compare for Oracle to compare and deploy data in Oracle Database 9i, 10g and 11g databases.

Requirements

The following are required to use Data Compare for Oracle:

• Windows XP, Windows Server 2003, Windows Server 2008, Windows Vista®, or Windows 7.
• Microsoft .NET Framework version 2.0 or later.

  You can download the 32-bit framework, or the x64 framework.
