Step 2: Choosing databases or backups for comparison
In the Project Configuration screen you first select which databases you wish to compare. Note that the Pro Edition of SQL Data Compare enables you to compare using backups, both native SQL Server and Red Gate SQL Backup, which you can select from the Data Source drop-down list. Once you've selected your database you can then make various custom comparison settings before you launch the project.
