SQL Bundle version 5 beta

Red Gate Software will be launching a public beta program for SQL Bundle version 5 on February 28th 2006 and would like your input.

New features

SQL Compare 5

SQL Compare 5 has a brand new front end. The whole user interface has been completely redesigned to make managing the structure of your databases even easier. Shown below are some screenshots to give you a flavour of the new design.

Setting up object filters in SQL Compare 5

SQL Compare 5 also adds new engine features such as the ability to remap database owners or schemas. This will allow users to compare all objects owned by "owner1" with objects owned by "owner2," for example.

SQL Data Compare 5

SQL Data Compare 5 has also been redesigned from the ground up. A whole host of new features are included such as:

  1. Object remapping.
  2. Custom key comparison.
  3. Filter data based upon a SQL query.
  4. Improved data view.

SQL Packager 5

A number of bugs have been fixed in SQL Packager 5.

SQL Toolkit 5

SQL Toolkit 5 gives full access to the new APIs that lie behind SQL Compare and SQL Data Compare. The new toolkit will allow you to automate all the new version 5 features such as owner/schema mapping in SQL Compare and table/column remapping in SQL Data Compare. In addition, SQL Toolkit 5 has been fully tested to run against .NET Framework 2.0
