SQL Packager has been retired

Redgate has now stopped selling SQL Packager. This means that additional copies of SQL Packager, and extensions to support contracts, are no longer available.

If you have a license for SQL Packager, it will still work – we're not taking anything away. You can keep using it for as long as you like, but we won't be doing more work on the tool, so unfortunately there won't be any further updates and we won't be supporting SQL Server 2014 or later.

So that you've still got a packaging tool which has technical support, we're releasing a final version of SQL Packager as a script packaging utility: http://download.red-gate.com/SQLPackager.exe

It's a command line tool that works with SQL Compare and SQL Data Compare to let you package database change scripts. If you're interested in finding out more about this utility, take a look at the documentation.

If you have a SQL Packager Support & Upgrades contract, we're offering you a free license of SQL Compare Pro and SQL Data Compare Pro. These can be use with the script packaging utility to create packages as you would with SQL Packager.

To claim your licenses, contact support@red-gate.com

End of support

Although you can't renew your Support & Upgrades contract for SQL Packager, you'll continue to receive priority support until your current contract expires.

Following that, we will no longer be providing technical support for SQL Packager.
