Information for SQL Storage Compress evaluations

The free SQL Storage Compress trial expires after 14 days. During your evaluation period, you will receive an email from us to warn you that your trial will soon expire. Please note that databases, data files or file groups will become unavailable if your trial expires and you do not activate SQL Storage Compress with a license key. For this reason, we recommend you first trial SQL Storage Compress on a test or non-critical system. If you would like to extend your trial, please contact us. We will be very happy to help.

If your databases, data files or file groups become unavailable as a result of the evaluation expiring or because you stop the HyperBac Control Service in the HyperBac Configuration Manager, there is a simple workaround to decompress the test database. Your databases, data files or file groups will not be adversely affected by the trial expiry. If you activate your copy of SQL Storage Compress with a full license, or if you follow the workaround to decompress your database, you will be able to continue working with your databases, data files or file groups as normal.
