
Technical requirements
Below are the technical requirements for SQL Monitor 3.0. If you have any questions regarding technical specifications, please contact us.
For the Web Server:
The Web Server should have .NET 3.5 SP1 installed. If you have .NET 4 installed, you still need .NET 3.5 SP1.
Supported operating systems for the Web Server if you don't have an IIS server:
- Windows XP
- Windows Server 2003
- Windows Server 2008
- Windows Vista
- Windows 7
If you want to add SQL Monitor to an existing IIS server, these versions are supported:
- IIS 6
- IIS 7 or later
For the Base Monitor:
The Base Monitor should have .NET 3.5 SP1 installed. If you have .NET 4 installed, you still need .NET 3.5 SP1.
Supported operating systems:
- Windows XP (32 bit) SP3 or later
- Windows XP (64 bit) SP2 or later
- Windows Server 2003 SP2 or later
- Windows Server 2008 or later
- Windows Vista
- Windows 7
Supported browsers:
- IE 7 +
- Firefox 3 +
- Chrome 2 +
- Opera 10 +
- Safari 5 +
Data Repository
The Data Repository requires a database to store the data it collects from monitored servers.
These versions of SQL Server are supported:
- SQL Server 2005
- SQL Server 2008
- SQL Server 2012
Supported servers to monitor:
Host Windows servers:
- Windows 2000
- Windows XP
- Windows Server 2003
- Windows Server 2008
- Windows Server 2008 R2
- Windows Vista
- Windows 7
SQL Server versions:
- SQL Server 2000 SP4
