When did you join Red Gate?

February 2009

What was your first ever job?

To give it the proper name, I was a Till Operative at Superdrug on Saturdays.

Before you arrived at Red Gate what did you do?

I was a customer Services Rep and an order processor for a Solutions company near Newmarket.

What does your job involve on a day-to-day basis?

Credit control is very important; as we make sure we receive payment for invoices. We also process and send out the invoices to customers and assist customers with licensing enquiries.

What do you like about working in Finance at Red Gate?

I really enjoy helping customers with their licensing enquiries. It's always very interesting. The sense of achievement when we receive payments and we hit our team targets is awesome!

Complete the following sentence: I know everything there is to know about...

I think it's very difficult for one person to know everything about anything. There will always be someone you can learn something from, which I think is kind of nice.

What's your favourite book?

I have two books that I read over and over again, and they are very different. The first is 'The Interesting Narrative of the Life of Olaudah Equiano, or Gustavus Vassa, The African' Written by Himself. And the second is called 'If Only It Were True' by Marc Leavy.

What super power do you wish you had (or have but aren't telling anyone because that's the point of being super)?

The power to heal myself and others!

Why did you choose Red Gate?

To be honest, I'm very grateful that Red Gate chose me.

What are your favourite Red Gate perks?

Well, the free lunches, days out and the opportunities within the company are great, of course. But my favourite 'perk' has to be the people and the support you get here. You really feel part of something good.

What's your most memorable Red Gate experience so far?

Our team nights out are always memorable!! Murder Mystery Nights, dinner at a Gordon Ramsey restaurant – great food and great people!

What's your stance on Marmite?

Love it!!!
