I'm using synonyms in sql server 2005 to abstract away another database on another server. It would be great if I could still use SQL Prompt to operate on tables accessed via the synonyms though. Are there plans to add this functionality?
Cheers,
Alex. |

Hi Alex,
Many thanks for your post.
Support for synonyms has already been requested as a feature for the tool, and this is in our tracking system under reference SP-373.
I have added your comments to this, and the feature will be considered for a future release.

Add my vote..
SQL 2005 and 2008 are going to be using this feature heavily. This is definitely a MUST-HAVE feature. |
