If you are planning to use SQL Server SP2 CTP2 please drop me a pm.
The release version of SQL Refactor 1.0 does not support this CTP, but we have a solution that will enable you to use both SQL Refactor and the CTP of Microsoft's new service pack.
We will support the final Service Pack 2 of SQL Server, and an upgrade of SQL Refactor will be available soon (very soon) after the official release of SP2 (sometime Q1 2007)
Regards,

| With SP2 officially being released, do we have an estimate of when the updated Refactor will be available? |

Will there be an e-mail to let us all know when the new fix it out?
I mistakenly installed SP2 last night and only noticed this morning that the SQL Refactor menu was disabled (which is a very elegant solution actually).
Thanks!

We're hoping to have a fixed version out soon: within the next couple of weeks. We know what the issue is, and we have a fix that works, but we still need to run our complete suite of test cases with the final release of SP2 and fix any issues that this should bring up. _________________ Andrew Hunter

| I wish I would have known the refactor would stop working before I loaded SQL SP2. It would be nice if there were a beta of the updated version. I would be willing to run it. A buggy tool would be better than none at all. |

Hello all,
The issue which SQL Refactor has with SQL 2005 SP2 has been resolved by the new release of SQL Refactor v1.1. If you are having a problem using Refactor with SP2, please download the new version of Refactor - details are in this thread:

Thanks
