Is it possible to use SQL Backup 7 to backup a SQL Server 2012 database and use SQL Backup 7 to restore the .sqb on a SQL 2008 server?

No it isn't possible. Under all that compression and encryption, the backup data is still stored in SQL Server's native backup format, and SQL Server 2008 cannot restore a backup created using a SQL Server 2012 instance. _________________ Peter Yeoh
