Playing around with SQL Monitor. Our company is testing quite a few different tools for doing SQL server monitoring. IMO, one of several shortcomings with SQL monitor is not being able to exclude certain time frames in the alert configuration. During our every night and/or every weekend maintenance windows, I am not interested in getting a bunch of alerts because the CPU is high, memory, disk I/O and so on...I know that already. What I am interested in are the alerts generating outside the the maintenance window.
Am I blind? Is there a way to do this? |

No you're not blind. I think we have a discoverability issue with our maintenance window page.
If you go to Configuration > Monitored Servers and click the one of the gear icons at the end of each row then you should see an option to 'Set maintenance window'.
