SQL Backups Server components need to be installed on any server you want to run backups on (so in your case, all 3, meaning you'd also need 3 licenses)
The GUI (the front end you interact with) can be installed anywhere you want (be it on each server, on your own PC, or somewhere else) and doesn't need to be licensed, so if you have, say, 10 DBA's they can all run the GUI on their own PC. |

| Does one still need to manually install the server components in a cluster environment or has that been automated with 7.0? |

| It's still recommended to install it manually I'm afraid. |
