Memory Profiler Automation, SDK, Plugins, Autosave Options?

I'm running long duration tests on an application using memory profiler and a secondary tool to automatically click the "take snapshot" button every several minutes.

Is there an SDK or Plugin framework or Scripting/Automation framework for Memory Profiler so that I could use Memory Profiler in a more reliable manner for long term testing?

Secondly, I've had set backs of system crashes (running out of memory, bad disk, windows updates) taking down my test. Is there any option to turn on autosaving or file recovery after a crash?

Does It means apart from the Snapshot API, we have to run Memory Profiler Manually?

Do we have any plan to release API like we have in Performance Profiler? Wonder why it is not available as surely we need to automate it for which we need some sort of API. OR is there any other way to automate (using .net programming language etc)?
