I have a database backup that is in 5 sqb files. I'm trying to restore it to a new server and it has been running for 15 hours. I notice that the server icon shows a red x every now and then and when I check it it says it timed out. It always reconnects after that.
Is this restore stuck? Do I need to cancel it and start it again? The database is around 25Gb and the progress has been stuck on 16.8Gb for the last 12 hours. |

Could you please generate a stack trace (see here of the hanging process, and post the contents?
Also, what version of the SQL Backup Agent are you using? Please note that this is not the GUI, but the Agent (SQBCoreService.exe) that is running on your server.
Lastly, could you please check the SQL Server error log and also the Windows Event log (source = SQLVDI) for any errors that may be related to the restore?
Thanks. _________________ Peter Yeoh
