Hi,
Is it possible to use the Automated Error Reporting in a Windows Communication Foundation (WCF) application and catch the exception on the client?
In a test we got in stack trace only the methods and line numbers from the client part. The error information of the WCF Services you do not get . We tested self hosting and Windows Service hosting.
We use SmartAssembly 5.5.

Did you build both the client and the service with SA? Have you tried using the sdk (you can find it in the installation directory of the SA)?
Otherwise you might want to get in touch with support@red-gate.com and send them sample code (or post some here so people can have a shot at re-producing the problem you're seeing). |
