I am comparing two databases. One of them is BackupSetDatabase. I would like to run a select query on this backup. What is the best way of doing this? Is there a Red-gate API which can give me the result? Do you have an example of this in your knowledge base?

Would deeply appreciate your help on this.

Thank you.

Thanks for your post.

You cannot use the API to runs specific queries against a backup file, it only supports using the backup file as a data source for the comparison.

Do you want to be able to interrogate the offline backup file?

The SDK dosn't have wny methods to do this, but if the database is online, then you can query the database using a .net sqlconnection.
