|
|
My .ants project has become corupt or something. Everytime I attempt to open the scripts I had recorded, or any function actually, I recieve the following error:
Microsoft.Vsa.VsaException: EngineNameInUse (0x80133014).
Does any know how fix this. Alternatively does anyone know how to extract the recorded scripts from this file? |

It seems a reboot helps. Perhaps it might have been a conflict with both the Load and Profiler tools starting at the same time.
This issue is resolved. |

Hi,
I'm sure that's not the problem. The error indicates that the VSAENG cannot start because it has detected that it had already started (or something like that...). It's probably just a symptom of an installation problem with the VSA components and the reboot must have sorted it out.
This has happened twice before in three years, so it's not something all too common. _________________ Brian Donahue

ANTS load isn't working anymore on my computer. I didn't use this tool for some months, but now I'm not able to open the script. I allways receive this error.
- I restarted my computer several times.
- Uninstalled the previous version
- Installed the current Evaluation version 1.75
Before, it was installed on a local account but now I want to run this when I'm logged in as a domain user. I do have administrator rights, so I don't think this is a problem.
Does someone have an idea? |

Have you tried simply uninstalling and reinstalling ANTS Load? The error is indicating a problem in the scripting environment supplied to us by Microsoft. _________________ Brian Donahue

Yes, I reinstalled the software but the problems remained.
But now I noticed that I couldn't use my old scripts, then I always receive this error. When I create new scripts, it's working...
I did some copy/past from my old .ants file and now it's 'solved'. |

Hello,
I'll keep that in mind. Possibly the problem is that ANTS Load < version 1.5 was based on .Net 1.0 and then the VSA engine got upgraded to support 1.1. Possible loading an old project file tries to invoke the older version of the VSA engine which is no longer installed. I'll see if I can reproduce that and document it for future posterity. _________________ Brian Donahue

|
|
Hello,
I am recieveing the same exception when I attempt to open and load one of our project files.
EXCEPTION:
Microsoft.Vsa.VsaException:EngineNameInUse(0x80133014)
The problem occured when I attempted to remotley connect to the machine running ANTS Load unaware that another user currently had the project file open. Now every time I attmept to LOAD the project it hangs for two seconds before throwing this exception .
I have spoken with Ants Load tech support who I am still waiting to hear back from. I have tried rebooting the machine but at this point after reading previous posts it seems that the project file has become corupted.
If anyone has this issue resolved please let me know
If Ants support provides a solution I will post it as I can imagine I am not the first person to experience this issue. |

|

Answer: Ok finally after talking with ants load support and some research on our side we finally found a solution to the VSA Exception. All that was required was the deletion of the temporary files stored on any user account that access or has attempted to access the project file. So DELETE all temporary files located at
C:\Documents and Settings\USER_NAME\Local Settings\Temp
Once you have done so it should force ANTs to recreate these corrupted VSA files. |
