Add an option next to 'Select object in Object Explorer' named something like 'Modify object'.

Clicking 'select object in Object Explorer', then right clicking the object, then clicking 'Modify' can be slow and tedious.

This was the one new feature I was hoping for in SQL Search 2.

Unrelated to SQL Search2, I did recently notice that when using SSMS, I can press F12 when the keyboard cursor is over a procedure, view or function name and SSMS will open the object to be modified. That does save some time when I know the name of the procedure I want to modify and am not using SQL Search to find it.

Thanks for your suggestion. We track feature requests on our SQL Search UserVoice forum.

You can vote for this particular feature here: http://redgate.uservoice.com/forums/101149-sql-search/suggestions/1682503-add-alter-object-next-to-select-object-in-objec.

We'll keep track of the votes for this feature and consider it for a future release.

Thanks
Adam

Now, if only Microsoft had started that F12 script with a USE <database>, heeding the Object Explorer scripting option...
