Hi All
We had a problem with out SQL server last night. The SQL server was offline (connections to it failed) from about 2:45am. I had a lot of messages about prior to this about long running queries, blocked processes, etc. but nothing to tell me the server was offline. All the analysis graphs show nothing from 2:45 until restart theis morning.
Should I get notified if the server is unreachable. Ideally I want text messages on such an event.
Regards

Hi Mark
Yes you should definitely be getting an alert if the server becomes unreachable for some reason.
I'm assuming that SQL Monitor's data repository is not located on the server that went offline?
Also which version of SQL Monitor are you currently using?
Regards
